School is going very well! I'm not in any class with children younger then me this year. I speak Arabic very fluently now and that has made both Poppy and Sitti very proud. Poppy still sometimes translates for me out of habit. I stay at Sitti's house whenever she asks me to and she teaches me a lot. She teaches me how to cook and clean. I still don't agree with the stay-at- home wife thing but it makes everyone happy for me to learn how to be one. When I'm at Sitti's house, I teach her things, too. I teach her to speak English and to make American food. Her favorite American food is mashed potatoes; she adds all of her favorite spices to it still. Her English is as good as my Arabic was when I first started getting used to Jerusalem. My relationship with Omer has only got better. So has Omer's relationship with Sitti. Omer went with Sitti to Mecca and Sitti was so happy! Rafik and Omer practice soccer on weekends sometimes since Rafik is going to try out for the soccer team soon. Omer is going to own the little antique shop that we met at! I'm so excited and so is he.
