Backyard Glacier

When I woke up in my bed

I ran and grabbed my sled!

For outside my window

There was three feet of snow!

I thought it was just a snow day

Because that's what people say

But when I saw ahead

It almost knocked me dead!

With mammoth herds

That stretched for miles 

And all the snow

Stacked in piles

And mountains tall

And boredom small

It seemed everything north of here

Had been wiped of this great sphere

It makes me want to shed a tear

A new Ice Age has begun

This new glacier will be tons of fun!
